I finally finished on April 19th (the day before opening reception).
Opening reception was a “Red Carpet” event with lots of fanfare to celebrate the Patent Wall and honor all the inventors (147 patent leaves were installed!).
The photos do not do justice since there is no way to get back far enough to get the entire wall since it is in a hallway.
I thank the Patent Team (Patty, Liz, Lina, Laurie, Kiran & Cynthia) for selected me to create this “FUN” project for them and VP Victoria for her vision to create a Patent Wall.
The Patent Wall consists of 4 sections: “Welcome to Patent Park”, Gum, Candy and Packaging/Design. Each of the 3 categories has a central tree with a photo frame inserted into the trunk to display the patent information and a leaf for each of the patents (patent # and inventor name[s]). Following are the best photos I could take.

As you can see the company is not chocolate but so much more: Dentyne, Stride, Bubblicious, Trident, Halls, Bassett (licorice), The Natural Confection Co., Hollywood Chewing gum, and many more foreign candies and gums.

The second portion of Patent Wall representing the Candy Wall is now finshed with the exception of 3-D tree that will go up last.

Here is a photo of the 1st section to be installed.
Preston having just installed the 1st portion of the tile mural for New Hope Borough in the new Community Center.
Tiles are for sale through the New Hope Park and Recreation Dept.
Each tile is $100 and anyone can purchase a tile(s) @ the website

I’ve been referring many of you here to watch the progress and as you can see there has been nothing posted. Well the contract is now finally being finished and I should be starting on site next week (1/18/2011)
But here is a sneak preview of one of the sketches I will be working from to produce this FUN mural.
This is the first section of the mural, "Welcome to Patent Park". Note the paint jars that are the wonderful Kraft palette of colors. "I like color!" (stealing a line from Preston!)
