Painting your ceiling a color adds interest. Consider it the 5th wall and use a color other than white. You can go a shade light or darker than the wall color or be very creative an use a totally different color to make a statement. The results can be exciting way to change the feel of the room.
Being a mural artist I have come to love painted ceilings and have often painted “sky” ceilings which lift the space above almost infinitely. Here are some of my examples.
