Sharrison Studios, nestled in the heart of Waterford, Maine, is renowned for their hand-painted tiles. They create tile works of art that can be inserted into wooden trays, mounted in kitchens or bathrooms or framed for hanging on the wall. Their tiles or platters depict portraits of houses, creative elements of wedding invitations and copies of nautical lake maps or unique areas such as ski slopes or islands. They use ceramic tiles and paint each tile using ceramic glazes and/or porcelain glazes. The tiles are then filed in their kiln for permanence and durability.

Sharon Harrison uses the clients custom wedding invitation and/or wedding invitation suites and creates a unique keepsake on tiles or porcelain platter depicting the important elements from the invitation. After firing, if created on tile, the tiles are inserted into a wooden tray. Each work of art is unique and becomes a lifetime keepsake for the bridal couple.
Tile Nautical Map Trays and Trivets
Using Nautical or Google maps of specific lakes, islands or bodies of water, Sharon Harrison recreates the images on tile. Specific meaningful details can be highlighted on the tiles, i.e. name of home or campsite, roads, island, towns etc. The tiles can then be inserted into a wooden tray or framed for hanging on the wall.
Tile House Portrait Trays and Porcelain Platters
This is a unique way to create a keepsake of a treasured home on a one-of-a-kind functional tile tray. They are great “house warming” gifts, realtors’ gifts or “good-bye” gifts for the home owner. The house is recreated using photographs from different angles to capture the essence of the unique property. Sharon Harrison uses “artist-liberty” to remove trees or shrubs that may block some views. Specific details can be
added such as flowers or other such details that make the image unique and meaningful to the owner.
